We are looking for volunteer Community Bus Driver to join our dedicated Community Transport Service team.

The Council’s Community Transport Service provides transport for shopping and social support programs to the aged, younger disabled and socially isolated people in the community.

If you like a chat and engaging with people in the community, this could be a great role for you! 

 

Vacancies

There is a vacancy for a Volunteer Bus Driver with a Light Rigid (LR) Licence or above, to drive Council's Fuso Rosa Bus, automatic.       

Day: Wednesday, twice per month                                                                                 

Time Commitment: 4-5 hours

 

There is another vacancy for a Volunteer Bus Driver with a standard car Licence (Class C), to drive Council's 12 seater, Manual gear shift, Ford Transit Bus.

Day: Friday, fortnightly                                                                                

Time Commitment: 3 hours

 

To apply for this role you will need:

  • good customer service skills
  • ability to deal with passengers in a sensitive manner
  • ability to interact with a diverse range of people.
